AQUAREX - WATER-QUENCH BLOWN FILM LINE - EXTRUSION TURNED UP-SIDE-DOWN

AQUAREX represents a significant departure from traditional blown film production, changing the typical structure of a blown film line. Instead of extruding upwards, AQUAREX extrudes downwards and uses water as a cooling medium rather than air. The use of water enables fast cooling of the melt, low crystallization, and an amorphous film structure. This innovative approach results in a film with exceptional properties, including striking gloss, high transparency, and outstanding puncture and tear resistance.

Until now, achieving these properties was limited to PVC extrusion or cast film lines. AQUAREX unlocks new possibilities for PE materials in the packaging sector, offering unparalleled user-friendliness and a range of new applications.

AQUAREX offers a range of advantages for film production, including exceptional properties such as high transparency, gloss, and puncture resistance. Asymmetrical barrier films are no longer subject to curling, and AQUAREX consistently delivers outstanding film qualities with a very stable process. The technology enables the production of high amorphous films with unparalleled clarity and strength.

AQUAREX can be used in a range of consumer packaging applications, including food-contact and non-food packaging. The technology is also well-suited to specialty products such as thermoforming film, barrier film, infusion bags, medical packaging, oil film, milk packaging, and frozen food packaging.

Overall, AQUAREX's innovative technology unlocks new possibilities for film production, enabling businesses to achieve exceptional quality and performance for a range of packaging applications.
